I feel completely daft in it when I'm on my own

Bought my first piece a couple of months ago and I have worn it three times, all at home by myself, and every single time I have felt slightly ridiculous.

It is not that I do not like it. When I look in the mirror I do like how it looks. But there is a persistent voice saying, what are you doing, standing in your bedroom in a rubber top on a Tuesday.

Does that pass? Is this the sort of thing that only really works with someone else there, or at an event? I do not have anyone to wear it for at the moment and I would rather not have bought it purely for a hypothetical future night out.
