Is there an age where this stops looking right?

I turned fifty-two this year and I have wanted to try latex since I was about twenty-five. Never had the money, then never had the nerve, and now I have both and a new worry instead.

Every photograph is of someone half my age. I do not want to be the person who has clearly turned up in something that belongs to a different decade of her life, and I would honestly rather not buy it at all than feel like that in a room.

Is that a real thing or is it in my head? And if it is partly real, is it about age or about picking the wrong pieces for the body you actually have now?
