Terrified of tearing my new latex leggings while putting them on

My first latex leggings arrived today and I am almost too scared to put them on. It feels like one wrong tug and I will rip a hole in something I saved up months for. I have read about dressing aids but I do not really know what I am doing with them. What actually helps latex slide on, and where do people usually go wrong? My nails are short but not filed right down. Should I use talc inside, or a silicone product, or both at once? Please talk me through it like I have never done this, because I genuinely have not.
